Now the gane has changed, and new stars are accomplishing things, so I think over time, Shaq has developed more regret over his overall effort during his playing career. He readily admits he didn't do much in the offseason, avoided exerting much energy in practice, would stop working in games if he wasn't getting the ball, etc. It was funny 15 years ago because it gave off a "I was so good, that I dominated without trying" energy. But now he is seeing his accomplishments beginning to be matched or even surpassed, and he is bitter about his own "what could have been" career. But it manifests in clowning on others. The other side of this is that he is an absolute legend, so he doesn't have to posture like he does.
